The Hollywood Reporter reveals that former Broadway stars Julianne Moore (The Vertical Hour) and Christina Applegate (Sweet Charity), along with Maria Bello, Matt Dillion and Jason Isaacs Every are on the hot list for pilot season this year. All have been offered several shows.
Moore, who recently guest-starred on NBC’s “30 Rock,” has been tapped for a Prime Suspect remake by NBC and a Scoundrels remake by ABC. Scoundrels is based on Outrageous Fortune, a New Zealand series. Bello has reportedly also been tapped for Prime Suspect, while Demi Moore is reportedly another contender for Scoundrels.
Jerry Bruckheimer’s Chase, for NBC, has allegedly been considering Christina Applegate, Maria Bellow and Tea Leoni for the lead. Applegate additionally has an offer from CBS for the comedy series Open Books.
Matt Dillon has been pursued by NBC for The Rockford Files created by David Shore (House), and by Fox for the cop drama Ridealong. Jason Isaacs, best known from the Harry Potter franchise, has also been tapped for Ridealong, in addition to ABC’s 187 Detroit, another cop drama.

September 7, 2009 - Isaacs ‘dreading’ end of Potter

Jason Isaacs has confessed it’s “unbearable” getting ready to say goodbye to his Harry Potter role.
The actor explained he’s very sentimental so will miss playing the boy wizard’s nemesis Lucius Malfoy in the magical movies.
He said: “I find it unbearable, I’m absolutely dreading it – I’m such a sentimental old fool that even though I don’t finish shooting until April, I already feel like they’re playing Leaving On A Jet Plane in my ear.”
Jason, 46, couldn’t be happier to be making a return for the final two instalments of the Potter flicks.
“One of the lovely things about these two films is Lucius has gone from the most evil man in the series to being utterly humiliated and emasculated by Lord Voldemort,” he said.
“He’s reduced to little more than the man who rushes around with a dishcloth clearing up the spills. It’s nice to have that kind of journey as a character and see him get the comeuppance he so richly deserves.”
The actor’s latest film, Good, is set in 1930s Germany and follows a German academic called John Halder (Viggo Mortenson) and the relationship with his bon viveur, Jewish best friend Maurice, played by Jason. It is out now on DVD.

September 4, 2009 - Isaacs’ Shock At Ledger’s Death

JASON ISAACS was stunned to hear about the death of his THE PATRIOT co-star HEATH LEDGER – and immediately rang the movie’s other stars to mourn the tragedy.
The pair starred in the 2000 war movie, alongside Mel Gibson and Joely Richardson, and kept in contact after filming had wrapped, meeting up whenever their schedules allowed.
Ledger’s untimely death from a prescription drug overdose in January 2008 devastated Isaacs, who felt compelled to reminisce about the actor with his former co-stars.
He tells Total Film magazine, “All of us who’d worked with him on The Patriot, when we heard the news, people who hadn’t spoken for years were phoning each other – we just wanted to somehow connect. He was a very sweet boy.”
Isaacs remembers his last meeting with Ledger with great fondness – because the late star had just discovered he had landed the role of The Joker in Batman movie The Dark Knight.
Isaacs adds, “The last time I saw Heath was at Soho House. He said, ‘I’m about to play The Joker.’ I went, ‘F**k, are you? Nightmare!’ He said, ‘I know, I know.’ I said, ‘Did you watch the other one?’ He said, ‘No! Don’t be mad, that’s not gonna help is it? I’ve got this notepad and I’m just writing down ideas.’”
Ledger posthumously won this year’s (09) Oscar and Golden Globe awards for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of The Joker.

August 31, 2009 - Jason Isaacs on Lucius Malfoy in next Harry Potter films

Jason Isaacs’ ice-cold steely stare has won him legions of Harry Potter fans who love his turn as the boy wizard’s nemesis, Lucius Malfoy – a role in which he famously gets to don what he likes to call his blonde “Paris Hilton wig”.
Isaacs will hang up his Hilton wig and say goodbye to the Malfoy dynasty for the last time after the two closing films. This will include a farewell to his fictional son, Draco Malfoy, played by Tom Felton, who has – ironically – become firm friends with Potter actor, Daniel Radcliffe, in real life.
“I find it unbearable, I’m absolutely dreading it,” he says. “I’m such a sentimental old fool that even though I don’t finish shooting until April, I already feel like they’re playing ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ in my ear.”
Jason couldn’t be happier to be making a return for the final two instalments.
“One of the lovely things about these two films is Lucius has gone from the most evil man in the series to being utterly humiliated and emasculated by Lord Voldemort. He’s reduced to little more than the man who rushes around with a dishcloth clearing up the spills. It’s nice to have that kind of journey as a character and see him get the comeuppance he so richly deserves.”
Comparing the return to set to “visiting a relative you love” his startling blue eyes light up as he says, “I go into work and a lot of the actors who I absolutely adore and worship and am in awe of are sitting around on those canvas chairs with me swapping showbiz stories and I just sit and soak it all up.”

December 26, 2008 - ISAACS PLANS FOR LAPLAND TRIP
By: Crissy with No Comments

Actor JASON ISAACS is racing to get to Lapland this Christmas, so he can give his kids some magical memories.
The Harry Potter star fears he spends too much time away from his young children while he is filming, and wants to make sure they have a great family Christmas.
He says, “I get home when my kids are asleep and I leave before they wake up, so I’m trying to buy my way back into their affection.
“I’m desperate to take my kids to Lapland to meet Santa. That’s a trip you can do from London. I’ve got friends who have taken their kids there and they’re now grown up, like 10 or 11, and they realise there’s no Tooth Fairy, but they still believe in Santa – because they met him.
“So I’m desperate to take my kids before the disbelief sets in. We have Santa, the Tooth Fairy and The Switch Witch who comes on Halloween and switches out all the candy by the bed for a gift; the Tooth Fairy’s cousin.”
